Soil is born from the cycle of life and death. Just think of the minerals that are formed from the wearing of bedrock that is birthed from the core of the earth. This weathering takes thousands of years; much of our present-day agricultural soils are over 10,000 years old!
With deep gratitude for the sandy soil, the red clay, the garden beds and forest floors; that which we can see, and that which is hidden beneath the vast oceans of our planet, provides a place for all life.
What have you been most deeply drawn to with the Soil Gratitude Ceremony? What sorts of changes and challenges might this place be enduring or be expected to face in the coming years or decades? What does the soil want? What are the tides, pests and migrating animals telling us?
Connecting with our soil guides us in an understanding of the precision, symbiosis, and harmony that go into supporting the soil of our living Earth.
It is the Soil that is teaching us that we are loved. It is the Soil that calls us to remembrance when we can kneel, head bowed down to work and run our fingers through the pages of Soil’s wisdom.
You will have an opportunity to share about your relationship with Soil and your experience with the Soil Gratitude Ceremony. This is a great way to get to know others in the Nature Evolutionaries Community.
